Synposis

Dracula was premeired by the Central Missouri Repertory Company in Warrensburg, MO in July 2003. The book was written by Dr. Richard Herman and the music and lyrics were by Sam Stokes. In this new version of the Dracula musical, many of the songs were preserved from the 2003 version, while the script has been rewritten from the source material.
This musical is based on the classic Bram Stoker novel and tells the story of the mysterious Transylvanian count, whose thirst for blood leads him to seek the help of Jonathan Harker to procure him a residence in London, where his thirst for blood can continue to be quenched. With the help of Professor Abraham van Helsing, Count Dracula's true nature is revealed, and they must work together to destroy the evil vampire before he ventures to England to feed on the life-blood of the people.
